Subaru Backcountry Desert
As mentioned earlier, the 2024 Subaru Outback Wilderness off-roader is also available now. Since this is a recent trim level, we are not planning any upgrades. However, it is a special model with more ground clearance. The Desert Outback features new tires, shock absorbers, a 9.5-inch ride height and a unique hood.
With a more aggressive design, the Wilderness model is unique. The focus has always been on off-road ability, which is why this model comes standard with wide 17-inch alloy wheels. Subaru also includes roof rails, skid plates and underbody protection. Also, the sunroof is optional and it looks great. Finally, this model will have a standard AWD system and various drive modes. In terms of fuel economy, the base engine gets 33 miles per gallon on the highway. On the other hand, the optional sedan gets a satisfying 30 miles per gallon on the highway.
